You pay list price, but the Club gets a rebate, so please use this method if possible. Flippers and other kit can be obtained by mail-order from a number of suppliers, including Swimrite (013 8489 8204 for a free catalogue) and SwimShop (015 8256 2111) and Swimgear of London (020 8346 6106).

Optical goggles
Guy Davis has found a good supplier of these essentials for those with poor eyesight. He uses Speedo optical goggles, which come in fixed prescriptions (dioptre -2.0 to dioptre -6.0 in .5 increments) but buys them mail-order from the States with Pocoloco (www.pocolocosw.com) who sell them at much less ($19.00) than Speedo direct (www.speedo.com) ($29.00). www.sportsbasement.com also does good deals. In the UK, a good bet is www.allensswimwear.co.uk who sell optical goggles for £19.00 or so. If your eyes are different prescriptions, get two pairs (one for each eye prescription) and swap the lenses so you get two useful pairs.
