                                           Important Notices

All you ever wanted to know about Swimming meets but were afraid to ask!

We are holding a parents evening on Wednesday 18 January at 18:30 (sharp) in the Large Hall at Putney Leisure Centre to cover all aspects of entering swimming meets and galas. The intention is to answer all your questions.

To provide a little structure to the session we aim to cover the following topics:

  • BAGCATs

  • Qualifying Times

  • Age Up date

  • Types of meets

  • Selecting which meets to enter

  • The meet entry process

  • How to use the HyTek information on the website

  • Splits and electronic timing and when they can be helpful

If you have additional topics or questions that you would like answered please let either Alan Thurlow (WSC committee member and ASA official) or myself know in advance or just raise them on the day.

This session is geared towards parents of swimmers in Seals, Dolphins and the County squad but will also be useful to others who may be new to WSC.

We aim to finish the meeting by 19.20.

Open Meets

We have updated our Competition Calendar with links to the host club's meet entry forms and promoter's conditions to make it easier for swimmers to complete the necessary paperwork.  Please return your entry forms and the appropriate cheque by the closing date to the Meet Co-ordinator.  Both the closing date and the name of the meet co-ordinator are now shown in the calendar.  Our Open Meets page will continue to provide any meet specific information such as logistics or changes in any of the arrangements.

WSC Shop
The WSC shop, which provides a range of swimming kit and equipment, is run by Claire Canning, (mother of Maddy and Charlie). If you need any swimming items, please contact Claire directly. Tel: 07920 027767 or cecanning@hotmail.com.
